Yay! i am back from OBS! Actually, i am not really happy because i really really miss my group members there now! waah! Please come back! Ok, i have a feeling that this would be quite a long entry. I'll try to shorten it!
Let me start with the first day:
We were first sorted to our respective groups. I was in Livingstone(yayness!) my group memebers were Hafiz(fifi), Shafiq, Rasis,Farhan, Deli, Yong keong, Andy, Junyi,Nazmi, H/Hui gee, Liyana, Fatin, Joanne and Shumei! our instructor was Dee! His half thailand! Cute!
We got on the activities next. The first was thrust falling. It was to build up our trust. It was fun to see every one working together to save our friends that were falling. We bonded there already! Next, we did the climbing. It was to test our belaying skills. I was not that good on it. Haix...
Finally, we got to ptich our tents. Haha..you should have seen me struggling! we were really cooperative as we split the work. The boys did the cooking and us girls did the washing.
Second Day:
Travelled up 101 steps! We then did log climbing. Despite having a fear of heights, i try it though i did not manage to reach the top. My group kept encouraging! i did the best i could! Next, kayaking! It was super fun especially capsizing. Hahaz!
We then brave the storm got to campsite 1! The wind was strong and it was raining heavily! Livingston lead the other members there! see, we are good! hahaz... This was our mini expedition.
Third Day:
This is our major expedition! we kayak all the way to Sembawang! Imagine that! Only a day of training and we were able to do that! i got abrasions on my upper arm that day! It was really painful. P.K, the female instructor help me.she dressed my wounds and bandage me. hahaz.
Sembawang, the campsite was fulled with ants. haix..itchy!
Fourth Day:
From Sembawang, we kayak back to camp 2. it was further. I had to go to the medical centre as my abrasion was really hurting! i basically cried all the way! However, i am proud that i did not give up at the middle. We did not take breaks and we broke a record. We travelled only for five hours! Our aim was to be back at camp 2 by 2.30 but we reached at 1.10pm! yeah!! Thanks fifi for leading us. his a livingston!!
my group then did the jetty jump! it was great i tell you! i souted I love you! hahaz. I also dunnoe why! sheesh! hahaz!
At night, Some wanted to go for night walk. Some were disgreeable as we agreed when Ahmad or fifi said that "we dunnoe this person, he dunnoe the way,so how can you trust him!" yup! i agree with that. a fight nearly broke out because of it! it was a stupid idea for me too!
Fifth Day:
the day that i dread and look forward to. we went around the circle talking about our experience and all! i wanted to cry! we really bonded!i miss them. When dee gave around the certificate, i felt so sad and happy. Proud to be part of this camp! When he said that the livingston flame lived in each of us and that we actually live it up, i felt like crying! we have done livingston proud!
it was going to be dee's last obs as he would be taking another job. We gave him a jyss pe shirt and signed it for him. he was really touched. me too actually! this shows our bond is strong. really strong!
